ATLANTA, Ga. — WWE NXT saw a 2% increase in viewership for its Jan. 28 episode on The CW, drawing 827,000 viewers, according to Nielsen ratings. The show, which aired from Atlanta, marked NXT’s largest audience since its second week on The CW in October 2024. However, the 18-49 demographic rating dropped by 13.5% to 0.19.

The episode ranked 10th out of 13 primetime originals on broadcast television, failing to crack the top 10 in overall viewership or the 18-49 demographic. CBS and ABC dominated the ratings with hour-long procedurals, while ESPN‘s college basketball coverage of Tennessee vs. Kentucky and TNT‘s NBA game between the Lakers and 76ers outperformed NXT in the demo.

Despite the demographic dip, NXT’s performance remains stronger than its December numbers. The show continues to build momentum as it transitions to its next episode, set to air from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando on Feb. 4.

NXT’s move to The CW in October marked a significant shift for the wrestling program, which previously aired on SyFy. The network change has brought increased visibility, though competition remains fierce in the crowded primetime landscape.
