Roster cuts are underway at WWE, according to a Friday report from PWInsider. No main roster wrestlers are expected to be let go, but the same cannot be said for NXT. Releases from the developmental brand are ongoing, and the fallout is already starting to surface on social media.
Jasper Troy, a 28-year-old who signed with WWE in the summer of 2022, appears to be among those departing. He wrote “30 Days🖤” on his social channels, a brief and cryptic message that many took as confirmation of his exit. Before wrestling, Troy played football at the University of Kansas and the University of Northern Iowa. That background helped him stand out in NXT, where he built a name for himself as a powerful, agile competitor. He also won the men’s season of WWE LFG on A&E, a reality competition that gave him significant exposure beyond the usual NXT audience.
Troy’s most notable achievement came when he captured the WWE Speed Championship. He defeated El Grande Americano for the title on the November 11, 2025 episode of NXT. The reign, however, was short-lived. On February 24, 2026, he lost the belt to Elio LeFleur in a triple threat match that also included Eli Knight. That match would prove to be one of his last televised appearances for the company.
His actual final match for WWE took place at an NXT house show in Gainesville, Florida, on August 22, 2026. There, he teamed with Elijah Holyfield to beat Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov in a tag team bout. No formal announcement accompanied the match, and Troy remained quiet until now. Since the release reports emerged, he has changed his name to Kairo Reign on social media. That kind of rebranding often signals a clean break from WWE. The company has yet to publicly confirm any of the releases, but several NXT talents are expected to be affected.
