The Cincinnati Bengals made a pair of roster moves following their 31-24 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 5, claiming linebacker Jack Kiser off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars and placing linebacker Swayze Bozeman on injured reserve.
Kiser, who is 6-foot-2 and 231 pounds, is a second-year player out of the University of Notre Dame, where he played under current Bengals defensive coordinator Al Golden. He originally was a fourth-round NFL Draft pick of the Jaguars in 2025. As a rookie for Jacksonville last season, Kiser played in 14 regular-season games, totaling 10 defensive tackles and four special teams tackles. This season, he spent one game on the Jaguars practice squad and was inactive for three games before being waived on Saturday.
Bozeman, also a second-year player, suffered a forearm injury in yesterday’s game at Miami. He will be out for at least the next four games before being able to come off the injured reserve list.
The Bengals’ decision to claim Kiser gives the team additional depth at linebacker after Bozeman’s injury. Kiser’s connection to Golden, his former coach at Notre Dame, is a notable part of the move. Cincinnati’s victory over Miami preceded the roster adjustments.
