Alabama Football Scrimmage Bryant Denny Stadium

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.— The Alabama football team conducted its second scrimmage of fall camp Saturday afternoon on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide is now just two weeks away from the start of the 2025 season, opening against Florida State on August 30.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer addressed reporters following the scrimmage, offering insights into the performance of his players. DeBoer praised senior running back Jam Miller, stating, “Yeah, I thought Jam started out really well. I thought the offensive line did a nice job creating some seams for Jam to hit. Got to the second level and broke a couple tackles. I thought it was one of the better showings I’ve seen Jam have in a scrimmage.”

Miller, a 5-foot-10, 221-pound Texas native, has been a part of the Alabama program for four years. Last season, he rushed for 668 yards and scored seven touchdowns, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Miller also caught 16 passes, contributing one touchdown through the air.

After struggling to break 200 yards in his first two seasons, finishing with 201 yards in 2023 and 223 yards in 2022, Miller appears poised for a breakout this fall. DeBoer emphasized that Miller has consistently performed well during camp. “I think Jam certainly had the best day, and that’s been consistent,” he noted.

As the team approaches the upcoming season, the coaching staff and fans will eagerly watch how Miller and his teammates continue to develop. With three weeks left until the season opener, there’s ample time for players to make their mark during scrimmages and practice sessions.
