Atomix Restaurant New York Culinary Ranking

Las Vegas, NV — Atomix, a restaurant in New York City, was named the best restaurant in North America on September 25 during the inaugural 50 Best Restaurants event at Wynn Las Vegas. The restaurant, which features a 12-course Korean tasting menu, earned high praise from the judging panel.

Cooking duo Ellia and Junghyun Park established Atomix with a focus on modern Korean cuisine, showcasing traditional flavors through contemporary presentations. Junghyun Park expressed gratitude, remembering his journey from Korea to the United States just a decade ago.

The 50 Best Restaurants list for North America, announced at a gala event, includes restaurants from the United States, Canada, and parts of the Caribbean. A voting panel consisting of 300 anonymous judges chose the winners, with no specific criteria for selection.

Following Atomix, the list highlights Mon Lapin in Montreal as the second-best restaurant, known for its creative small plates, and Restaurant Pearl Morissette in Lincoln, Ontario, capturing the third spot with its sustainable approach and locally sourced ingredients.

Smyth in Chicago and Tanière3 in Quebec City rounded out the top five on the list, receiving recognition for their culinary excellence. Each establishment reflects the rich diversity and high standards of dining across North America.

The 50 Best organization has now added North America to its list offerings, expanding from its original focus solely on global dining experiences. This North America edition also signifies the significance of hospitality and culinary creativity within the region.

Chef Junghyun Park’s event speech resonated with attendees, emphasizing the power of food to bridge cultures and experiences. Atomix’s accolade not only affirms its place in the culinary world but also supports a growing interest in Korean flavors.
