Villanova Wildcats Football Game

VILLANOVA, Pennsylvania — The Villanova Wildcats are set to face off against the Sacred Heart Pioneers in their first-ever matchup on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. The game is a crucial regular season finale for both teams as they aim for playoff positioning.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET, and the game will stream live on FloCollege. Villanova, currently riding a seven-game win streak, hopes to earn a first-round bye for the upcoming FCS playoffs with a victory over Sacred Heart, who enters the game with an 8-3 record.

The Wildcats will enjoy the advantage of playing at home, where they have remained undefeated this season. They aim to complete their third consecutive undefeated season at Villanova Stadium. Sacred Heart, joining the CAA next season after spending 25 years in the Northeastern Conference, also has a chance to make a statement in their last game before making the move.

“This game is about finishing strong and making a push for the playoffs,” said Villanova coach Mark Ferrante. “We want to prove ourselves at home in front of our fans.”

Villanova’s standout player this season, running back Ja’briel Mace, has already made a significant impact, boasting over 1,000 rushing yards. He scored three touchdowns in a previous game, showcasing his ability to break through defenses.

Sacred Heart will look to disrupt Villanova’s plans, coming off a strong performance against Merrimack College. The Pioneers’ offense is powered by running back Mitchell Summers, who has also crossed the 1,000-yard mark this season alongside dual-threat quarterback Jack Snyder.

Villanova holds a perfect 5-0 record at home this season while Sacred Heart has struggled on the road, posting a 2-3 record away from home. “We know that it’s going to be a challenge, but we have a great chance to leave a legacy for the future with this game,” Snyder commented ahead of the matchup.

The stakes are high as both teams not only vie for a win but also to set the tone for the approaching playoffs. The FCS Playoff Selection is set for Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025.
