Bjp Denies Tickets To Incumbent Mps In Latest List For Lok Sabha Election

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a significant move in its latest list for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, where nearly 37 incumbent MPs have been denied tickets, including nine in Uttar Pradesh, five in Gujarat, and four in Odisha, among others.

In a strategic twist, the BJP has fielded Rekha Patra as a candidate from West Bengal‘s Basirhat constituency in an effort to challenge the ruling Trinamool Congress in the state.

The party’s latest list includes the renomination of key figures, such as Union Minister Giriraj Singh from Begusarai and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad from Patna Sahib in Bihar.

Furthermore, the BJP dropped five sitting MPs in Gujarat, named candidates for all 17 Bihar seats, and nominated faces for Vadodara and Sabarkantha in Gujarat, where the previous nominees had withdrawn.

Meanwhile, the Congress has finalized candidates for seven seats in Tamil Nadu, with notable figures like Karti P Chidambaram and S Jothimani being renominated.

Former IAS Officer Sasikant Senthil, known for his contribution during the 2023 Karnataka Assembly polls, is now a candidate from the Tiruvallur constituency in Tamil Nadu.

As per the seat-sharing arrangement with the DMK in Tamil Nadu, the Congress has been allotted nine seats, strategically positioning itself for the upcoming election battle.
