HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal police are investigating a fight that occurred on Friday night, May 16. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Main Street at approximately 10:31 p.m. after receiving reports of a fight in progress between two men.

The initial investigation revealed that an argument had started while the men were walking along North Main. This dispute quickly escalated into a physical altercation. One of the men did not require medical attention, but the other was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

After initial care, he was transferred to a hospital in the St. Louis area, where he is currently in stable condition. A spokesperson for the Hannibal Police Department confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and additional details will be provided as they become available.
