Jayam Ravi Aarti Divorce

On September 9, 2024, popular Tamil actor Jayam Ravi announced his separation from his wife, Aarti, on social media. This announcement followed widespread speculation and rumors about trouble in their marriage. Aarti, however, claimed that the announcement was made without her knowledge or consent, leaving her blindsided.

Jayam Ravi responded to these allegations in an exclusive interview with ‘Hindustan Times‘. He stated, “I sent Aarti two legal notices in the months before September 9, and she didn’t respond to either one of them. I was forced to make the divorce announcement public because there were so many rumors already, and I am answerable to my fans.”

He added that both families were aware of the decision. “We had a discussion about this together, and then they gave us space for a private conversation between Aarti and me. Aarti’s father and I also spoke about it. How can they claim otherwise?” Ravi remarked, addressing Aarti’s assertion of being unaware.

Despite the personal turmoil, Jayam Ravi has been professional on the film front, promoting his upcoming movie ‘Brother’, alongside Priyanka Arul Mohan, directed by M Rajesh, which is set to release on Diwali 2024.

Ravi emphasized his ongoing relationship with his children, Aarav and Ayaan. “Aarav is 14 years old and he can understand, so I explained the whole situation to him. Ayaan is just eight and too small to understand,” he noted. The actor also clarified rumors involving a supposed affair with a singer, stating, “It’s not right to drag names. The person whose name is doing the rounds is a psychologist who has helped several people overcome depression.”
