Juventus Aims to Extend Dominance in Turin Derby Against Torino

Juventus will look to continue their dominance over city rivals Torino in the 183rd edition of the Derby della Mole on Saturday evening at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. The Bianconeri, unbeaten in Serie A this season, are aiming to extend their 21-game unbeaten streak against Torino in league play.

Juventus coach Thiago Motta emphasized the importance of the match, calling it a ‘special’ derby for the club and its fans. “It will be a tricky match, and a special one for us, for our fans, and for the club,” Motta said. “We can’t wait to get out on the pitch, we want to win.”

Juventus comes into the match after a disappointing exit in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-finals, where they lost to AC Milan. Motta hinted that Douglas Luiz, who has been sidelined with injuries for much of the season, could feature in the starting lineup. “He is a top midfielder who can play in all positions in our midfield,” Motta said of Luiz.

Torino’s injury concerns include key midfielder Sasa Lukic and striker Antonio Sanabria, both of whom are doubtful for the match. The Granata will rely heavily on goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who has been one of Serie A’s most consistent performers this season.
