Orlando Magic Vs Philadelphia 76ers Nba Preseason

PHILADELPHIA – The Orlando Magic (1-0) are set to continue their preseason on Friday, October 10, 2025, against the Philadelphia 76ers (0-2) at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Orlando, coming off a 126-118 victory over the Miami Heat, is looking to improve their shooting efficiency after finishing last season with a disappointing 31.8% from three-point range. They recently acquired guard Desmond Bane from the Memphis Grizzlies, sacrificing guards Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Cole Anthony, along with several draft picks.

“We needed to add firepower to our offense,” said Magic General Manager John Hammond. “Desmond brings that skill set, and it was important for us to make this move,” he added.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia is looking to bounce back from a challenging previous season that saw them fall to 24-58, largely due to injuries to star players, including Joel Embiid and Paul George. Despite these setbacks, the addition of rookie VJ Edgecombe and free agent Trendon Watford offers a glimmer of hope for the team’s future.

“We have talent on this roster, and health will be the key to our success,” said 76ers coach Nick Nurse. “I’m excited about the young guys stepping up,” he added.

Both teams are eager to finalize their rosters before the regular season begins. Fans can catch the action live on NBA TV and various streaming platforms like Fubo TV.

This matchup is essential for both teams as they prepare for the long regular season ahead.
