Mauricio Umansky Rushed to Hospital After Ski Injury in Aspen

Aspen, Colorado — Reality television star and real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky was rushed to the hospital after sustaining a serious injury while skiing in Aspen. The 54-year-old ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ alum revealed the news on his Instagram on February 14, sharing photos of his hospital stay and detailing the extent of his injury.
Umansky posted an image of himself in a hospital gown with a nasal cannula, expressing gratitude toward the medical personnel who assisted him during the emergency. “I feel so blessed to be taken care of by such amazing humans. Ski patrol, paramedics, Aspen Hospital, you’re all the best,” he wrote.
The real estate executive disclosed that he had broken his clavicle and would require surgery. He included an X-ray image showcasing the fracture and added, “Let’s get this surgery done so I can heal. Play hard, sometimes you get hurt. But the care here has been incredible.” The circumstances surrounding his accident remain unclear, and representatives for Umansky were not immediately available for comment.
Umansky is the founder and CEO of The Agency, a real estate brokerage primarily based in Southern California. His injury comes during a challenging period for him both personally and professionally. Recently, he spoke about how the devastating fires in Los Angeles affected his business, as many clients were displaced from their homes.
“It’s just been extremely difficult to deal with that,” Umansky said in an earlier interview. “We have offices directly where everything is happening in the Altadena Fire, the Pacific Palisades Fire, and the one up in Malibu. We have a tremendous amount of clientele who have all been affected by the fires. The most devastating is the complete loss of a home and the people being displaced and evacuated.” He emphasized the importance of helping these people find new housing in their time of need.
In another update, Umansky’s recent separation from his wife, Kyle Richards, added to the challenges he faces. The couple, married since 1996, announced their split in July 2023. They have since been navigating their relationship publicly, stating, “Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.” They have three daughters together: Alexia, Sophia, and Portia, along with Richards’ daughter from a previous marriage.
Despite the ups and downs, Umansky remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, recently competing in ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and starring in Netflix’s ‘Buying Beverly Hills.’ His injury appears to be a challenging setback, but he remains optimistic about recovery and future endeavors.
