Michael Strahan's Daughter Opens Up About Battle With Medulloblastoma

The co-anchor of “GMA,” Michael Strahan, and his daughter Isabella recently spoke with Robin Roberts about Isabella’s battle with medulloblastoma, a form of brain tumor.

Isabella Strahan, a 19-year-old student at the University of Southern California, began experiencing headaches and other symptoms in October. She was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, which is a rare tumor.

The Strahan family sought medical attention, and doctors found a 4-centimeter tumor in the back of Isabella’s brain. She had emergency surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to remove the mass.

Isabella’s recovery has been a journey, as she had to learn to walk again with the help of her twin sister. She recently completed radiation therapy and will soon begin chemotherapy at Duke Children’s Hospital in North Carolina.

Isabella has decided to document her journey in a blog, in partnership with Duke Children’s Hospital, to raise awareness and support for others going through similar experiences.

Michael Strahan expressed gratitude for the support his family has received during this difficult time and emphasized the importance of perspective in facing challenges.

Isabella is looking forward to returning to college and resuming a normal routine once her treatment is complete.
