Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup surprised fans when they recently tied the knot in a simple ceremony in New York. The couple, both 55 years old, opted for a low-key wedding because they wanted a quick and efficient way to officially marry.
During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘, Watts revealed that the decision to get married happened spontaneously. She said, ‘We knew we wanted to do it, something we really wanted to do and quickly. It was an efficient way to make it happen.’
The ‘King Kong‘ star described their special day as a classic New York affair. They encountered people dressed to the nines, some coming and going swiftly, adding to the memorable experience.
Watts confirmed their marriage by sharing a photo of the newlyweds outside the Manhattan courthouse on Instagram, simply captioned ‘Married’.
