Queensland Maroons Bring Inspiration To Darling Downs Ahead Of State Of Origin Series

The Queensland Maroons are set to ignite the spirit of rugby league in the Darling Downs region, a renowned breeding ground for talent, as they gear up for the upcoming State of Origin series.

This visit, led by coach Billy Slater, promises to energize the local community, which has produced top-tier Origin talents like Shane Webcke, Steve Price, Johnathan Thurston, and the late Carl Webb.

On June 18, the Maroons will bring a wave of maroon pride to Toowoomba for the Queensland Maroons Westpac Fan Day. Supporters can look forward to an exclusive opportunity to witness the team in action as they train at the iconic Clive Berghofer Stadium, in preparation for Game II of the 2024 series.

Billy Slater expressed the team’s eagerness to make a positive impact, stating, “Our Maroons fan days have a remarkable influence on Queensland communities, and we are excited to fuel the passion for rugby league in the Darling Downs region. The recent visit to Cairns left a lasting impression, highlighting the Maroons’ role as a beacon of inspiration for fans of all ages.”
