Secret Service Officers Fighting Outside Obama's Home

WASHINGTON — Two U.S. Secret Service officers have been suspended following an altercation outside former President Barack Obama‘s residence in Washington, D.C., last week. The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 a.m. on May 21.

Details surrounding the confrontation remain unclear. Reports indicate that the officers were involved in a physical fight, with one allegedly calling for a supervisor while threatening, “I whoop this girl’s a**,” according to an audio recording shared online.

A video published by RealClearPolitics shows the two officers shoving and punching each other during the incident. A spokesperson for the Secret Service confirmed the altercation but did not comment on the suspensions or potential further disciplinary actions.

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this on-duty altercation that occurred between two Uniformed Division officers at approximately 2:30 a.m. on May 21. The individuals involved were suspended from duty, and this matter is the subject of an internal investigation,” the spokesperson stated. “The Secret Service has a very strict code of conduct for all employees, and any behavior that violates that code is unacceptable. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.”

The motivations behind the fight between these two officers remain unknown. This incident adds to concerns regarding behavior within the agency’s uniformed ranks, which has faced scrutiny in recent months.
