System of a Down’s Toxicity Album Disappears from Spotify

Los Angeles, California — Fans of the band System of a Down are in shock after their iconic 2001 album, Toxicity, has mysteriously disappeared from Spotify. Many took to social media to express their frustration over the sudden absence. As of now, the album is no longer available on the streaming platform, but three of its top songs, "Chop Suey!," "Toxicity," and "Aerials," are still listed.
When checking Spotify, it was confirmed that the album artwork is missing. Instead, "Chop Suey!" and "Aerials" are appearing under a compilation album, while "Toxicity" shows up under a different title altogether. Unfortunately, the rest of the songs from Toxicity are completely absent from the platform, apart from a few live versions and covers by other artists.
The band, which is currently on tour in South America, has not yet released a statement regarding the album’s removal. However, a fan-account on X (formerly Twitter) reached out to confirm that the band and their label, Sony, are allegedly aware of the issue and are working on a solution.
On Reddit and other social media platforms, fans shared both their disappointment and humor. Some expressed their anger over not being able to listen to the full album, while others joked about finding alternative ways to enjoy it. One fan noted they had to pull out their physical CD collection, while others suggested using different streaming services.
As fans wait for an official response from the band or an update on the situation, the mystery surrounding the missing Toxicity album continues to unfold.
