Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor Launched in India: A New Chapter for Toyota in Subcompact SUV Market
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has officially introduced the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor in the Indian market, marking Toyota’s re-entry into the subcompact SUV segment. The Taisor offers a fresh take on the sub-4m SUV space and is set to carve a niche for itself in the competitive market.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is available in a vibrant range of eight colours, including eye-catching options like Lucent Orange, Sportin Red, and Midnight Black roof variants. Customers can choose from five distinct variants – E, S, S+, G, and V, catering to different preferences and budgets.
The Taisor is equipped with two powerful engine options – a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering a seamless driving experience. Buyers can opt for manual, automatic, or AMT transmissions, adding versatility to the driving dynamics of the Taisor.
Sporting unique design elements that set it apart from its counterpart, the Maruti Fronx, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor features a modern grille, updated DRLs, and distinctive alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin mirrors the Fronx but with Toyota badging, offering a premium and comfortable space for occupants.
Safety remains a top priority for Toyota, as the Taisor comes equipped with advanced safety features such as multiple airbags, ESC, hill-hold assist, and a 360-degree camera for enhanced visibility. These features ensure a secure and confident driving experience for passengers.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is positioned to rival popular subcompact SUVs in India, including the Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV300. With its competitive pricing, feature-packed variants, and distinctive design, the Taisor is poised to make a significant impact in the subcompact SUV segment.
