LOS ANGELES, CA – Jen Affleck is struggling with illness ahead of her performance on “Dancing with the Stars” scheduled for Tuesday night. Her husband, Zac Affleck, took to social media to request prayers for her recovery.

In an Instagram Story shared on Monday, October 13, the 26-year-old reality star revealed she had been very sick throughout the week but tested negative for COVID-19. “With lots of rest and help from Zac and my family, we still pulled something off. Ironic that my song is ‘Rescue.’ This week tested me in ways I never imagined,” she said.

Jen is preparing for Dedication Night, which will feature a performance of a Viennese Waltz to the song “Rescue” by Lauren Daigle. She dedicated the dance to her mother, Maria, and all mothers around the world. “Moms often suffer in silence yet always show up without recognition,” Jen shared, adding that she hopes mothers feel “seen and heard” during her performance.

Zac also offered words of encouragement, highlighting her determination. “Anyone who knows Jen knows how amazing of a mom she is. This week she has been so sick. She hasn’t been able to practice and has been stuck in bed most of the week,” he wrote. He mentioned that Jen’s mother was in town to help take care of her.

As Jen recovers, she has expressed gratitude for the support from her dance partner, Jan Ravnik, who has been patient and helpful despite her missed rehearsals. In a TikTok post, Zac called for fans to send messages of support for Jen. “I want your kind comments to be a surprise! Thank you for all the love and support for Jen,” he said.

The couple have received messages from fans expressing their admiration and support. One fan shared, “We love you Jen!! Hoping you feel better soon; you always bring a smile on the dance floor!” The couple’s bond and support for one another have resonated strongly with followers.

The live performance airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see Jen’s performance and how she dedicates it to the mothers who inspire her.
