Minnesota Wild Host Carolina Hurricanes in Key Matchup Tonight
SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Wild will face the Carolina Hurricanes tonight at the Grand Casino Arena at 9:30 p.m. ET.
The Wild enter the game riding a five-game point streak, with a record of 4-0-1, positioning themselves among the top teams in the NHL this month. Minnesota has posted a 6-1-1 record in November, ranking high in wins and points.
In the lineup, the Wild will deploy forwards Kirill Kaprizov, Danila Yurov, and Mats Zuccarello on the first line, among others. Jesper Wallstedt is expected to start in goal, having a solid record of 4-0-2 this season with two shutouts.
On the other side, the Carolina Hurricanes, leading the Metropolitan Division, are set to play without defenseman Jalen Chatfield, who is day-to-day due to a concussion. Goaltender Frederik Andersen will likely return to the net for his 11th game this season, aiming to help maintain the team’s top standing in the division.
After a previous match where the Hurricanes defeated the Wild 4-3 earlier this season, the two teams are geared up for a competitive rematch. The Hurricanes have impressed recently, going 7-2-1 in their last ten games, while Minnesota boasts a strong home record in recent meetings against Carolina.
Moreover, the Wild will be missing Marco Rossi, Vladimir Tarasenko, Ryan Hartman, and Nico Sturm due to injuries, opening opportunities for their rookies to step up.
The game will be broadcast on TNT, HBO Max, and truTV, with play-by-play commentary by Alex Faust. Fans can also tune in to KFAN FM 100.3 for live radio coverage.
