Connor Storrie Announcements Actor Awards 2026

LOS ANGELES, CA — The nominations for the 32nd Actor Awards, previously known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, were released on January 7, 2026. Announced by actor Connor Storrie from “Heated Rivalry” and Janelle James from “Abbott Elementary,” the nominees were revealed during a live stream on the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s YouTube channel.

These awards recognize outstanding performances in film and television for the year 2025, as voted on by more than 160,000 members of SAG-AFTRA. Each year, the awards highlight the best acting achievements, determined by fellow actors.

The 32nd Actor Awards ceremony is set to air live on Netflix on March 1, 2026. Harrison Ford will receive the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award during the event, marking a significant honor in his career.

Leading this year’s film nominations, “One Battle After Another” received seven nominations, while “Sinners” followed with five. Notable films including “Hamnet” and “Frankenstein” also landed three nominations each. All these films are in the running for the coveted top prize of Best Cast.

In the television categories, “The Studio” earned the most nominations with five, while both “Adolescence” and “The White Lotus” secured four each. Best comedy series ensemble nominees include “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” and “Only Murders in the Building,” while the best drama series nominees consist of “The Diplomat,” “Severance,” and others.

The announcement marks a shift in branding, as the Screen Actors Guild is reestablishing its annual awards as the Actor Awards to better reflect the essence of the show—honoring actors in film and TV. Showrunner Jon Brockett explained, “Evolving the show’s name to align with the award itself made obvious sense.”

This transition reveals the continuing evolution of the awards as they strive to resonate with both domestic and global audiences.
