South Park Skins Confirmed for Fortnite Crossover on January 9

LOS ANGELES, California — Epic Games announced that a collaboration between Fortnite and South Park will begin on January 9, 2026. Players can expect the beloved characters from the iconic animated series to make their way into the popular battle royale game.

The confirmation came from Fortnite’s social media accounts, which shared a teaser image featuring Butters at a computer with the caption, “Chaos, loading…” This hints at potential gameplay features related to Butters’ alter ego, Professor Chaos.

Leakers have suggested that players will be able to choose from main South Park characters: Kenny, Kyle, Cartman, and Stan. Each character is expected to pilot mech suits, similar to what was seen during a previous crossover with The Simpsons.

In addition to the skins, there’s speculation that the event will include a South Park mini pass and a new Mythic item called the “Stick of Truth,” which could provide players specific abilities related to manipulating the game environment.

Last month, Fortnite also introduced characters from another beloved franchise, Bleach, and the forthcoming South Park event is anticipated to draw crowds similar to that event.

The new content will not completely overhaul the Fortnite map but will instead offer new items in the shop along with unique additions to the item pool.
