The Bachelor Joey Graziadei Reveals Gilbert Syndrome Diagnosis and its Impact on Eye Color
The Bachelor star, Joey Graziadei, has recently opened up about his health condition, Gilbert syndrome, and how it impacts the color of his eyes. In a heartfelt Instagram video, Graziadei shared the details of his diagnosis, shedding light on a condition that affects the liver’s processing of bilirubin.
Gilbert syndrome is a common liver condition that often leads to a yellowish tinge in the skin and eyes due to the body’s breakdown of red blood cells. Graziadei, 28, disclosed that he was diagnosed during his high school years after a period of illness prompted blood tests and consultations with medical professionals.
During the video, Graziadei reassured his followers that Gilbert syndrome is a benign condition that does not require treatment. He emphasized the importance of staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, and managing stress levels to mitigate the impact of the syndrome on his eye color.
Despite the occasional yellowish appearance of his eyes, Graziadei affirmed that he is healthy and intends to prioritize his well-being in the future. The Bachelor expressed gratitude for the concern shown by fans and clarified that to his knowledge, he is in good health.
Looking ahead, Graziadei’s engagement to Daisy Kent, an account executive from Becker, Minnesota, was revealed. The final three contestants on The Bachelor, including Kelsey Anderson and Rachel Nance, advanced towards the finale, with Graziadei proposing to Kent in Tulum, Mexico, at the end of the season.
Contributions from Emily DeLetter and Victoria Moorwood added further depth to the coverage of Graziadei’s revelations about his health condition and journey on the reality TV show. ABC‘s platform and Graziadei’s Instagram video served as key mediums through which the news was shared with the audience.
