The couple has been working on their relationship since Trigg’s tragic death, which occurred in May when he was found unconscious in the family pool. Emilie took a social media break following the loss but began sharing her journey back online in August. ‘Loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words,’ she stated in a heartfelt Instagram post, describing the overwhelming grief she experiences daily. ‘We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable.’
