Julia Roberts And Chloë Sevigny Ticket To Paradise

Los Angeles, CA – Julia Roberts and Chloë Sevigny opened up about their friendship during the premiere of ‘After the Hunt’ on Monday night.

Roberts, 57, revealed her feelings of intimidation when meeting Sevigny for the first time. She discussed her nervousness during a group interview alongside her co-stars Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, Michael Stuhlbarg, and director Luca Guadagnino. The interview was published last Thursday.

Roberts recalled, “I was so excited and intimidated about meeting Chloë.” She met Sevigny during a rehearsal at her home, where her daughter, Hazel, was also present. “We’re all sitting around the kitchen table, and Hazel was making herself some lunch,” Roberts said. “And I go, ‘I’m scared.’ Ayo looked at me and said, ‘Me too.’”

Sevigny, known for her role in ‘American Psycho,’ responded positively, stating she felt comfortable with Roberts right away. “I felt close to her the first time I met her,” Sevigny said. She praised Roberts’ hospitality, sharing how they rehearsed together at Roberts’ beach house.

The actress added, “When we left, I needed more Julia. On the plane ride home, I watched, like, three of your movies.” She mentioned watching ‘Notting Hill’ in particular.

Roberts became emotional upon hearing Sevigny’s words, saying, “I am so glad this is being recorded.” Sevigny comforted herself by noting the extensive collection of Roberts’ films she could continue to enjoy.

‘After the Hunt’ follows Yale University professor Alma Olsson, played by Roberts, who faces a crisis when a student accuses her friend and colleague of sexual assault after a late-night study session. The film is set to premiere in theaters on October 10.
