Pokémon Legends Z A Fossil Pokémon

Tokyo, Japan – A newly released leak from The Pokémon Company has confirmed the return of the Fossil Pokémon feature in the upcoming game, Pokémon Legends Z-A, set to launch on October 16, 2025. This announcement comes as a welcome revival of a popular mechanic that was absent in the previous generation, represented by Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The feature was highlighted in an October trailer released on Nintendo’s official Japanese YouTube account. The trailer showcases a boy interacting with Amaura, a Fossil Pokémon that evolves from the Sail Fossil. In a subsequent clip, Amaura’s evolution, Aurorus, battles against Salamence, adding to the excitement for fans familiar with the franchise’s history.

The last appearance of Fossil Pokémon in a mainline game was in 2019’s Pokémon Sword and Shield. While they were seen in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they only emerged from Space-Time Rifts. Now, players can look forward to experiencing these classic Pokémon as a core mechanic once again.

Previously released leaks surrounding Pokémon Legends Z-A have largely been accurate, leading many to believe the information about the Fossil Pokémon feature is genuine. However, it remains uncertain exactly how players will interact with these Pokémon within the game environment. Questions about whether specific Fossil items will be required for their evolution or if they can be caught directly in the wild remain unanswered.

Although it has been leaked that there will be five Fossil Pokémon returning in the game, fans are hopeful for more additions as the launch approaches. As anticipation builds for Pokémon Legends Z-A, gamers around the world are eager to explore the enriched gameplay and nostalgic features that await them.
