Reality television star George Gilbey has tragically passed away at the age of 40 following a workplace accident, as confirmed by TV personality Ricci Guarnaccio.

The incident occurred at Campfield Road in Shoebury, with Essex Police responding to a report of a man falling from height and sustaining a fatal injury.

George Gilbey rose to fame through his appearances on the popular reality TV show Gogglebox, where he, alongside his mother Linda and late step-father Pete, offered humorous commentary on various TV programs.

Channel 4, the network behind Gogglebox, expressed their condolences to Linda and George’s family, asking for privacy during this difficult time.

Following Pete’s death in 2021, Linda shared heartfelt sentiments, recalling their fostering of over 100 children and Pete’s pride in George’s stint on Big Brother.
