Trisha Yearwood to Host ‘Christmas in Nashville’ Holiday Special on NBC
Nashville, TN — NBC‘s upcoming country music holiday special, “Christmas in Nashville,” will be hosted by three-time Grammy winner Trisha Yearwood. The two-hour telecast is set to air on December 3 at 10 p.m. ET and will feature performances from a lineup that includes Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers, Lauren Alaina, Ne-Yo, the War and Treaty, and Trace Adkins.
The special will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day. It was filmed in front of a live audience at Nashville’s Category 10 venue and is executive produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment.
“Christmas in Nashville” will follow NBC’s annual “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special, which also airs on December 3, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. That special will be hosted by Reba McEntire, who will perform alongside artists like Marc Anthony, Halle Bailey, Michael Bublé, Kristin Chenoweth, and Gwen Stefani. The event is set to include a tree lighting ceremony led by “Today” anchors Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Al Roker.
NBC’s holiday lineup also includes the traditional “Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade,” “Jimmy Fallon‘s Holiday Seasoning Spectacular,” and various Thanksgiving and Christmas specials from “Saturday Night Live.” Additionally, “A Motown Christmas,” hosted by Smokey Robinson and Halle Bailey, will air on December 9 at 9 p.m.
Throughout December, viewers can catch classic holiday favorites on NBC, including “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman” on December 4, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” on December 5, and “It's a Wonderful Life” on December 24.
