NikeSKIMS Collaboration Set to Launch with Elite Athletes Featuring in Latest Campaign

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — NikeSKIMS, the new collaboration between Nike and Kim Kardashian‘s SKIMS brand, is set to launch on Friday, September 26, at 7 a.m. PT. The line includes seven collections and 58 distinct silhouettes, offering over 10,000 ways to mix and match styles that blend performance and comfort.
The launch will be available on Nike’s website, SKIMS, and select retail locations in New York City and Los Angeles. The release includes contributions from more than 50 elite athletes, showcased in a campaign directed by Janicza Bravo, with photography by Luis Alberto Rodriguez and Rob Woodcox.
Among the featured athletes are Romane Dicko, Beatriz Hatz, Chloe Kim, Nelly Korda, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Jordan Chiles. Chiles expressed her excitement about the line, stating, “Wearing NikeSKIMS makes me feel confident and unrestricted. I feel fierce knowing I can look and feel this good while working hard.”
Serena Williams, another prominent face of the campaign, commented on the fabric’s comfort, saying, “It feels like butter on your skin,” when she’s training in it.
The NikeSKIMS debut features three core collections: Matte, Shine, and Airy, each offering dynamic pieces suited for a range of athletic activities. The collection will evolve seasonally, as noted by Amy Montagne, President of Nike. She stated, “NikeSKIMS is a bold evolution in how women experience sport and style — and together with SKIMS, we’re delivering what no other brand can.”
The campaign film, titled “Bodies of Work,” features female athletes engaged in various sports while wearing the new lineup. Chiles reflected on the message conveyed in the film, asserting, “It’s a force. It’s power. It’s artistry.”
Despite recent controversies surrounding some athletes involved, such as Sha’Carri Richardson’s domestic violence arrest, Nike has maintained its support for them. The new line aims to redefine women’s activewear, emphasizing style without compromising on performance.
