Congress Releases Seventh List Of Candidates For Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The Chief Election Committee of Congress unveiled its latest roster of candidates on Tuesday, marking the seventh list for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. This list includes five individuals, four hailing from Chhattisgarh and one from Tamil Nadu.

Among the prominent names listed in Chhattisgarh are Shashi Singh, who will be contesting from the Surguja constituency (ST seat), and Menka Devi Singh, fielded for the Raigarh seat (ST). The other two candidates from Chhattisgarh are Devender Singh Yadav from Bilaspur and Biresh Thakur from Kanker.

Advocate R. Sudha features as the lone candidate from Tamil Nadu, designated to represent the Mayiladuthurai constituency in the upcoming elections.

The earlier release on Monday showcased the sixth list of Congress candidates where Ramchandra Choudhary was selected for Ajmer, Sudarshan Rawat for Rajasmand, Dr. Damodar Gurjar for Bhilwara, and Prahlad Gunjal for Kota, all from the state of Rajasthan.

On Sunday, the party disclosed its fifth list, incorporating names like Pratap Singh Khachariya (Jaipur), Murari Lal Meena (Dausa), and Pratibha Suresh Dhanorkar (Chandrapur, Maharashtra).

Congress has been actively releasing lists of candidates, with the fourth list featuring 46 individuals, including the likes of Digvijay Singh, Ajay Rai, Karti Chidambaram, Danish Ali, and Imran Masood. This list also positioned Ajay Rai as an opponent against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Varanasi constituency.
