New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Injury Report and Game Preview
The New England Patriots are set to face the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London. Both teams enter the matchup with a 1-5 record, seeking a crucial win. As part of the preparation, both teams have released their injury reports, outlining key players who may be absent or limited in the upcoming game.
On Friday, October 18, 2024, the Patriots announced that tackle Vederian Lowe would be out due to an ankle injury. Wide receiver Javon Baker is listed as questionable with an illness after not participating in practice. Linebacker Curtis Jacobs, guard Michael Jordan, and cornerback Marco Wilson are also questionable, with limited practice time due to respective knee, ankle, and groin issues.
Despite prior concerns, running back Rhamondre Stevenson and cornerback Jonathan Jones participated fully in practice and are also listed as questionable. Notably, several players, including cornerback Isaiah Bolden and wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, have been fully cleared after previously being listed with injuries.
The Jaguars’ injury report is less extensive. Cornerback Tyson Campbell is questionable with a hamstring injury, and running back Travis Etienne Jr. has been limited in practice for the same reason. However, the team has not listed any players as out for the upcoming game.
Rhamondre Stevenson’s participation in the game is particularly significant. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Patriots did not promote a running back from their practice squad, suggesting a positive outlook on Stevenson’s availability. Stevenson, who had fumbled in the first four games but remains New England’s leader in touches and scrimmage yards, expressed optimism about his return.
“I’m doing good right now,” said Stevenson in London earlier this week. “I had to take a couple of days off, but I’m feeling like I should be ready to play on Sunday.” Stevenson, a fourth-round pick by the Patriots in the 2021 NFL Draft, recently signed a four-year, $36 million contract extension with the team.
The game will take place on Sunday, with a kickoff scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET, which is 2:30 p.m. local time in London. The Patriots will face a challenging matchup against the Jaguars, as both teams look to rebound from disappointing starts to their season.
