According to the released calendar, the preliminary exam is scheduled for May 26 while the main exam will be held on October 19. The UPSC examination consists of three stages – Preliminary, Main, and Interview.

In the past years, UPSC issued notifications for various numbers of vacancies. In 2014-15, the highest number of 1364 vacancies were advertised, while the lowest were 712 vacancies in 2020-21. It remains to be seen whether the number of vacancies will increase or decrease this year.

UPSC has not yet announced the exact timing for releasing the CSE notification. The official notification will be available on the website upsc.gov.in, with the application link being activated on upsconline.nic.in.

Eligibility criteria for the UPSC CSE application requires candidates to be minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years of age.
