Marvel Reveals VisionQuest: A New Chapter for Vision at NY Comic Con

New York City, NY — Marvel fans received an exciting update during the Marvel Animation and Television panel at New York Comic Con on October 11, 2025. Actor Paul Bettany, recognized for his role as Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), announced the upcoming series VisionQuest, which will complete the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along.

VisionQuest is set to delve deeper into Vision’s identity and struggles with his memories after the events of 2021’s WandaVision. Bettany explained, “What’s different about Vision right now is that Red Vision gave Vision all of his memories, including the memories from within the Hex. But White Vision is having real difficulty connecting to them.” He highlighted that this internal conflict will be central to the show’s narrative, stating, “So he has the memories, but he doesn’t have the emotions and the feelings, and I think that’s what the journey is… but with lasers!”

Terry Matalas, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard, is taking the helm as showrunner for the series. The panel provided viewers a sneak peek at some of the key characters, including Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., and James Spader, returning as Ultron.

The event concluded with Bettany previewing footage that introduced several well-known AI characters from the Marvel universe. One notable image was a CCTV shot featuring Ruaridh Mollica as an older Thomas Shepherd, known as Tommy, who is Vision and Wanda’s son. Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum added that fans will appreciate the attention to lore throughout the series.

While discussing potential genre shifts in the series, Winderbaum kept specifics under wraps, suggesting, “The less we say, the better.” He did affirm that longtime MCU followers will find plenty of rewarding content in VisionQuest. The highly anticipated series is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2026.
