Oregon Oklahoma Softball Game 2025

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma – The Oregon Ducks and Oklahoma Sooners are in a tense elimination match at the Women’s College World Series on Sunday. The game is currently scoreless as Oregon pitcher Elise Sokolsky has successfully escaped early threats from Oklahoma.

In the top of the first inning, Oklahoma had runners on second and third with no outs. Sokolsky managed to force two pop-outs and received a critical play from second baseman Kaylynn Jones on a line drive, keeping the Sooners off the scoreboard.

The Ducks faced a challenge of their own, struggling against Oklahoma pitcher Kierston Deal. Oregon went down in order during their first at-bat, with Deal striking out one and forcing two pop-ups.

Later, the stage is set for Oregon and Oklahoma to meet again at 7:12 p.m. ET, streamed live on ESPN2. The stakes are high as both teams aim to stay alive in the tournament.

In a separate game earlier, Tennessee secured a dramatic 5-4 victory over UCLA in nine innings. Laura Mealer delivered a game-winning single, advancing the Vols to the national semifinals to face Texas on Monday.

Oklahoma, a four-time defending champion, is looking to rebound after their recent loss to Texas. The Sooners have defeated Texas in the championship series two of the past three years, and their current performance will determine if they remain in contention.

As excitement builds, spectators are eager to see if the Sooners can recover and keep their championship hopes alive against Oregon.
