Dodgers Giants Baseball Game

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to face the San Francisco Giants in their final home game of the regular season on September 21, 2025. This matchup marks the seventh meeting between the two teams in just ten days.

Blake Snell, who pitched a stellar game against the Philadelphia Phillies recently, will also play a crucial role in the Dodgers’ performance against the Giants. In a previous game, Snell struck out a season-high 12 batters over seven innings, leading the Dodgers to a 5-0 victory.

Freddie Freeman contributed to the win with a homer, helping the Dodgers avoid a three-game sweep against the Phillies. Snell’s impressive outing included a season-high 112 pitches, with 69 strikes, showcasing his determination on the mound.

Manager Dave Roberts praised Snell’s performance, as he managed to convince Roberts to allow him to continue pitching even when reliever Alex Vesia was warming up in the bullpen. “That conversation in the seventh inning showed his competitive spirit,” Roberts stated.

The Dodgers gained an early lead when Freeman hit a homer in the second inning, followed by an RBI single from Ben Rortvedt. The team’s strategy paid off as they aimed for a strong finish to the season.

Looking ahead, the Dodgers will face the D-backs in Arizona on September 24 after their game against the Giants. For this upcoming matchup, Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto is slated to take the mound against Giants pitcher Logan Webb, who holds a solid record this season.
