Fox News Celebrates Strong Debuts for Weekend Programs

New York, NY — Fox News is celebrating successful premieres this weekend for two new programs, Saturday in America and The Sunday Briefing. Saturday in America debuted as the top cable news show on Saturday, attracting 1.6 million viewers, according to Nielsen data.
The program also captured 131,000 viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic, outperforming competitors CNN and MSNBC. Fox News consistently dominates the ratings in this time slot.
The Sunday Briefing followed with an impressive debut, pulling in 2.2 million viewers and 267,000 in the key demo. The show is hosted by White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich, who alternate as anchors. The Sunday Briefing outperformed CNN by 481% and MSNBC by 317% in total viewers, while also surpassing CNN by 493% and MSNBC by 207% in the key demographic.
This marks a 55% increase in the key demo compared to Fox’s average viewership for the 11 a.m. Sunday hour this year.
On the debut episode of The Sunday Briefing, Doocy interviewed President Donald Trump, who shared insights on potential media acquisitions involving Rupert Murdoch and Lachlan Murdoch and TikTok‘s future in China.
Meanwhile, McEnany’s first episode featured an interview with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. She opened her show with police footage related to a traffic incident involving Tyler Robinson, who now faces a murder charge linked to the assassination of conservative figure Charlie Kirk.
