JoJo Siwa, known for her vibrant personality and showmanship, recently addressed her relationship with fame in a candid interview with LadyGunn Magazine. In the cover story, Siwa expressed a rather unorthodox perspective on public attention, suggesting that as long as people are talking about her, she views it as a fulfillment of her role as an entertainer. “I’m an attention whore,” she said, candidly. “My favorite thing to do on this earth is to entertain and to make people smile and laugh, whether or not they are laughing with me or laughing at me.”

Siwa further explained that any kind of attention, be it positive or negative, is beneficial. She shared a story where she corrected her new management team’s approach, stating, “I just signed with new management, and they’re great, amazing people. They were like, ‘All right, we got to get people to rally around you and really start to like you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh no, that’s not the point.’”

In her interview, the “Guilty Pleasure” singer also spoke about drawing inspiration from well-known YouTubers Jake and Logan Paul. “I pulled so much of my social media marketing and inspiration from them back in the day,” she revealed, highlighting their significant influence on her approach to maintaining public interest.

Her recent magazine cover features her donning a striking ensemble that included a bedazzled corset styled as a man’s torso and a rhinestoned codpiece. The bold look captured the attention of rising hip-hop star GloRilla, who humorously commented on the image via social media.

This interview comes on the heels of a year filled with headline-grabbing moments for Siwa. Her single “Karma” released with a bold music video, drawing inspiration from rock legends Kiss, which received mixed reactions. Despite the criticism, Siwa remarked that the song’s ongoing relevance indicates the success of her approach. “Karma is still an earworm. It’s crazy that it still has some relevance five months later,” she stated.
