Owner of West Coast Game Park Faces Serious Allegations

COOS COUNTY, Oregon — Investigations are ongoing at the West Coast Game Park, where owner Brian Tenney faces serious allegations involving illegal animals and weapons. Authorities revealed in court documents, filed on May 16, 2025, that Tenney reportedly owned military-caliber guns and maintained a concrete vault on his property.
The affidavit, which spans nearly 100 pages, includes claims that animals at the park were harming one another, and some were being kept illegally. A detective involved in the investigation shared that an FBI agent described Tenney as a ‘firearms enthusiast.’ Among the weapons listed were a 20mm cannon and a .50 caliber rifle.
This week, investigators reported that they seized a significant amount of cash, bonds, weapons, and illegal drugs from the park—totaling approximately $1.6 million. Coos County Sheriff Gabe Fabrizio expressed concerns about the legal implications surrounding these findings.
‘What is the legality? Well, obviously he’s not going to be legally holding illicit drugs,’ Fabrizio said. ‘But in addition to that, what has been gained from ill-gotten gains of the drugs. That’s the direction the investigation is headed.’
The court documents also revealed disturbing testimony from a United States Department of Agriculture employee, who admitted that animals had attacked and killed each other. In one incident, she described how two tigers fought, resulting in one being found dead the following morning. Additionally, she noted that a baboon whose sister had died was housed with other baboons, leading to another fatality.
Authorities continue to investigate the conditions and legality of operations at the West Coast Game Park, and more updates are expected as the story unfolds.
