Central Texas Thunderstorms For Weather Forecast

WACO, TexasCentral Texas is bracing for a series of thunderstorms that could bring severe weather through Friday. A Level 2 SLIGHT Risk has been issued for severe weather on Wednesday afternoon.

Despite a mostly dry day, there is a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms as a cold front moves through West Texas. Most areas in Central Texas are expected to remain dry into the evening, but some storms are expected to begin building strength after 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to meteorologists, the storms could bring damaging winds and large hail, posing a threat to residents. “While not everyone will experience severe weather, it’s wise to be aware of the potential risks,” said Matt Farrell, a local weather expert.

The severe weather threat will also carry over into Thursday, though forecasters predict lower intensity compared to Wednesday. Some thunderstorms could still develop, with a Level 1 MARGINAL Risk for severe weather in effect for Thursday.

The unsettled weather pattern is expected to continue into Friday, with more thunderstorms likely. The cold front activating these storms will inch closer to Central Texas, ensuring the chance for additional showers and thunderstorms.
