Tyler Seguin Returns to Stars Ahead of Playoff Matchup

Frisco, Texas — Tyler Seguin returned to the ice Wednesday night for the Dallas Stars after a lengthy absence due to hip surgery. The 33-year-old center, who underwent the procedure on December 5, made an impact early in his comeback, assisting on a goal just 16 seconds into the game against the Nashville Predators.
Seguin’s return comes as the Stars prepare for their upcoming first-round matchup in the Stanley Cup playoffs. The team concluded its regular season with a loss but remains optimistic about its chances with Seguin back in the lineup.
Prior to his injury, Seguin had been enjoying a productive season, registering 20 points, including nine goals and 11 assists, over 19 games. As a six-time All-Star, he brings significant experience and skill to the team, having accumulated a career total of 808 points (360 goals, 448 assists) in 988 games played with the Boston Bruins (2010-2013) and the Stars.
The veteran forward is in the sixth year of his eight-year, $78.8 million contract with Dallas, a deal that reflects his value to the franchise. His presence on the ice will be crucial as the Stars aim for a playoff run.
