Caitlin Clark Out Two Weeks with Injury

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a left quad strain, the team announced Monday.
The team did not disclose when Clark suffered the injury, but further updates will follow her reevaluation, according to the Fever.
Clark has had a strong start to the season, averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds over four games. In a recent match against the New York Liberty on Saturday, she played 37 minutes, scoring 18 points and providing 10 assists in a narrow 90-88 loss.
This marks the first regular-season games that Clark, the previous year’s Rookie of the Year and a first-team All-WNBA selection, will miss in her career. She had missed one preseason game earlier this year due to an injury on the same leg.
With a current record of 2-2, the Fever are set to face the Washington Mystics (2-3) on Wednesday. They may be without their star player for at least the next four games as they navigate her recovery.
