David Dobrik Teases YouTube Comeback After 3-Year Hiatus
David Dobrik, the popular YouTuber known for his high-energy vlogs, has hinted at a long-awaited return to his main YouTube channel after nearly three years of inactivity. Dobrik last uploaded a vlog in March 2022, leaving fans eager for his signature content. On January 6, 2025, he shared a TikTok video teasing a new project, sparking speculation about a potential comeback.
The TikTok clip, captioned simply “tomorrow,” shows Dobrik editing a video on his laptop, accompanied by Abba’s S.O.S., a song familiar to his longtime viewers. Fans are divided on whether this signals a full return to YouTube or a promotional piece for his Vlog Squad colleague Ilya Fedorovich’s fitness brand, Xeela. Xeela’s Instagram account also posted a trailer for a video titled “The Transformation of David Dobrik,” set to release on January 7.
Dobrik’s hiatus followed a series of controversies, including allegations against Vlog Squad member Dominykas ‘Durte Dom’ Zeglaitis and a public fallout with Jeff Wittek after a dangerous stunt gone wrong. These events led Dobrik to step back from regular content creation and maintain a lower public profile.
If Dobrik does return to YouTube, it will mark a significant moment for his fanbase, who have remained loyal despite the controversies. His comeback could also reignite discussions about accountability and the future of influencer culture.
