London Transport Disrupted: Paddington Underground Station Closure and Other Delays Cause Commuter Chaos
Heavy rain in London has led to significant disruptions in the city’s transportation network, causing chaos for commuters. Paddington underground station was forced to close just before rush hour due to flooding, as per a notice by TfL.
Passengers faced further inconvenience with minor delays on the Bakerloo Line attributed to a train shortage. Additionally, Westbound services between Barking and Tower Hill were impacted by an earlier faulty train at West Ham, according to TfL.
National Rail announced delays between London St Pancras International and St Albans, expected to last until 8pm, following damage to overhead electric wires at Kentish Town. This disruption may lead to cancellations, delays of up to 60 minutes, or revised schedules.
Meanwhile, the M25 is set to undergo engineering works this weekend, with National Highways planning a closure in both directions between junctions 10 and 11. This major highway closure will affect travelers accessing routes to Guildford, Portsmouth, Staines, and Woking.
