Tennessee Titans Game Highlights

The Tennessee Titans concluded their NFL preseason with a victory against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, August 25, at the Caesars Superdome. This win secured the Titans a perfect preseason record of 3-0, marking their first unbeaten preseason since 2003.

Coach Brian Callahan announced earlier in the week that the Titans starters would see multiple series in the game. Notably, quarterback Will Levis displayed a strong performance, completing 7-of-8 passes for 118 yards and leading two scoring drives.

In contrast, the Saints were not expected to play most of their starters, and this provided an opportunity for several Titans players to make a lasting impression ahead of the impending roster cutdown day on Tuesday.

The game witnessed a series of standout performances, including a crucial fourth-down touchdown pass from Malik Willis to Bryce Oliver, which helped the Titans regain the lead in the fourth quarter. The Titans started strong with a solid field position resulting from a 22-yard punt return by Eric Garror.

Despite a fumble on their first drive by running back Jabari Small, the Titans defense managed to hold the Saints to just three points early in the game. Spencer Rattler, who was impressive for the Saints, connected with A.T. Perry for a significant 43-yard reception, setting up a touchdown run by Jacob Kibodi.

The Titans’ offensive strategy proved effective, resulting in a touchdown by Tony Pollard on a one-yard run with key contributions from various players. Throughout the game, Titans players showcased their capabilities, as Coach Callahan aimed to provide Chicago with plenty to consider for their upcoming season opener.

In injury news, the Titans suffered another setback in the secondary, as defensive back Elijah Molden was escorted off the field after a tackle. His status is currently being evaluated as he underwent assessment for a potential concussion.
