Top Tennis Stars Shine at China Open Players’ Party in Beijing

BEIJING, China – The eagerly awaited China Open is just around the corner, and some of tennis’s biggest names dazzled at a players’ party earlier this week in Beijing. Stars including Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, Jannik Sinner, Jessica Pegula, and Paula Badosa showcased their unique styles on the red carpet.
World No. 1 Iga Świątek stood out in a formal shirt paired with trousers and a stylish black belt. Gauff opted for a striking purple outfit, while Pegula chose a brown shirt and black shorts ensemble. Badosa turned heads in a black dress, and Sinner had a playful moment posing with a carrot.
This year’s China Open comes after a missed opportunity for Świątek at the US Open, making her eager to make a mark in the tournament. In the tournament’s women’s draw, Gauff, Świątek, and Amanda Anisimova are the top three seeds, each granted a bye to the second round.
In their opening matches, Gauff will face Kamilla Rakhimova, Anisimova will play Katie Boulter, and Świątek will compete against either Yulia Putintseva or Yue Yuan. Fifth seed Pegula will take on either Ajla Tomljanović or Yuliia Starodubtseva.
On the men’s side, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz is absent as he is participating in the Japan Open. Sinner is looking to avenge last year’s final loss to Alcaraz, starting his campaign against Marin Čilić. Second seed Alexander Zverev will meet Lorenzo Sonego, while Daniil Medvedev faces Cameron Norrie in a challenging opener.
Additional seeded players include Alex de Minaur, who will play By Yunchaokete, Andrey Rublev against Flavio Cobolli, Jakub Menšík vs. Miomir Kecmanovic, and Karen Khachanov facing Alexander Muller.
