Awkwafina Plans Wrap-Up Party to Meet Danny DeVito

Actress Awkwafina is organizing a wrap-up party for her co-stars in the animated adventure-comedy film ‘Migration,’ with the sole purpose of meeting her idol, Danny DeVito. The 35-year-old actress expressed her admiration for DeVito, calling him ‘the best.’ Despite being cast together in the movie, the two stars have never crossed paths in person.

Awkwafina, who lends her voice to the character of Chump, the leader of a pigeon gang based in New York City, says she can relate to her on-screen alter ego, describing her as a ‘real New Yorker.’

Surprisingly, pigeons, which play a significant role in the film, are not Awkwafina’s favorite birds. She referred to them as ‘gritty’ and representative of city life. Living in New York helped her prepare for the role.
