Health Canada Recalls Suntegrity Sunscreen Products
Health Canada has issued a recall for nine batches of the popular Suntegrity Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation due to a potential fungal contamination. The agency emphasized the importance for consumers to be cautious and verify the products before usage.
Suntegrity Skincare, the manufacturer, initiated the recall after detecting product separation issues leading to an unusual smell and higher-than-acceptable mould counts in one of the lots during testing. They took action to recall all the affected lots to ensure customer safety.
The company advises individuals to check the lot number located on the rear of the tube to identify if their product is part of the recalled batches. The specific lots under recall are 115BU, 107IV, 107NU, 109NU, 117BU, 113SA, 114SA, 106BR, and 101MO.
If consumers have purchased the affected product directly from the Suntegrity website or Amazon, they can contact the company with their order details to receive a refund. Suntegrity has also provided warranty assistance for those who bought it from a retailer.
