Miranda Lambert Gets Emotional at Drag Tribute in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — Miranda Lambert attended a two-hour drag show in her honor on Thursday night, where she became emotional while expressing her gratitude to the performers and attendees.
The event, titled ‘A Drag Tribute to Miranda Lambert,’ took place at the club Rain on 4th. A short video clip circulating on social media shows Lambert taking the microphone to address the crowd. ‘This is the best night ever,’ she said. ‘I’m gonna cry.’
Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLaughlin, was present during the heartfelt moment. The speech, although drowned out by cheers from the audience, captured the singer’s appreciation for the support she received. Lambert also shared hugs with her brother, Luke.
The event showcased various performers, who sang Lambert’s hits as part of the tribute. One performer featured dark hair, distinguishing the show from a typical lookalike performance.
In addition to her heartfelt speech, Lambert has been a long-time supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. She received permission to post photos from a Pride parade she attended in November 2019. Lambert has largely remained out of the spotlight since releasing her album ‘Postcards From Texas’ last September.
Looking ahead, Lambert is scheduled to start a tour with Morgan Wallen in May 2025 and will perform at the ACM Awards in Frisco, Texas, on May 8. Although she is not nominated this year, Lambert holds the record for the most awards in the history of the show, making her a fitting performer for the 60th anniversary.
Fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the stage, as Lambert continues to captivate audiences with her honest storytelling through music.
