Actor Prakash Raj, known for his outspoken views, recently responded to speculations about his potential entry into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), dismissing the rumors circulating on social media platforms.

The 59-year-old actor took to Twitter to address the claims, stating that the party may have considered recruiting him but realized that they did not align ideologically to secure his allegiance.

Prakash Raj’s sarcastic post came in response to a viral tweet by user ‘The Skin Doctor’ suggesting that the prominent actor would join the BJP at a scheduled time. However, the actor swiftly shut down the reports with his humorous response.

In an earlier instance at the Kerala Literature Festival, Prakash Raj revealed that multiple political entities had approached him for the upcoming 2024 elections. He expressed caution, mentioning that the parties’ interest stemmed from his criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi rather than shared ideologies.

Having contested as an independent candidate from Bengaluru Central in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prakash Raj is no stranger to electoral politics. Despite not clinching a victory back then, his willingness to engage in the political sphere made the recent rumors intriguing to his followers.

As the country gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled to commence on April 19, the conjecture surrounding Prakash Raj’s political affiliations adds a layer of anticipation to the political landscape.
