Barron Trump: The Youngest Son of Donald Trump Embarks on University Life and Political Involvement
As the 2024 presidential election unfolds, attention is also on Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump. Barron, who turned 18 in March 2024, has recently started his university education at New York University‘s Stern School of Business. Despite beginning this new chapter, Barron remains close to his family, particularly his mother, who has expressed that she does not feel like an “empty nester” since Barron has chosen to live in New York and study there.
Barron was raised in a life of luxury, growing up in the Trump family’s lavish penthouse and attending prestigious private schools in Manhattan. His life took a significant turn when he moved into the White House at the age of 10. Barron is bilingual, speaking both English and Slovenian, a nod to his mother’s home country. He has maintained a relatively low public profile compared to his siblings, although he has recently made appearances at his father’s campaign events.
In the current election, Barron has been involved as an unofficial social media adviser to his father. He was last seen heading to Florida on Sunday ahead of his father’s election party at Mar-a-Lago, although he was not present when Donald and Melania cast their votes in Palm Beach. It is unclear whether Barron cast his vote early, as this would have been his first voting experience.
Barron’s public appearances have been notable, including his debut at a campaign rally in July 2024, where he received a standing ovation. Despite his growing involvement in his father’s political activities, Barron has declined certain roles, such as being a delegate at the Republican National Convention, citing prior commitments.
As Barron navigates university life and his emerging role in the public eye, his mother continues to be very protective of him. Melania has described Barron as “strong-minded, very special, smart” and has affectionately called him “Little Donald” due to his independent and opinionated nature.
